They aren't the prettiest fillets ever
Sat 29 June 2013 by Cory CrossOkay, next time I'm going to start with the fillets at the bottom of the boat. Because when reaching down to the bottom I wiped my arm across the ones at the top. Yuck!
They aren't pretty, but they're hopefully functional.

My mixing stick with rounded 3/8" end is good for normal 90 degree joints, but for the inside of the forward edge of the bow is a sharp acute angle (25 degrees?) that using the tool normally would result in fillet a couple inches deep -- not good. Unfortunately, I realized this partway through. So I used the flat end of the tool and just kinda jammed it in there until the fillet was small. I need a (polyethylene-based) plastic tool about 8mm wide. Easiest is probably to buy more and cut it thin.
